Junie B Jones

You are going to love the new Junie B Jones First Ever Musical Edition! One CD is the book on CD. The book on CD is very entertaining. I have two daughters 8 and 9 that loved it. I admit I loved hearing it as well. The second CD was the musical. It had songs related to the book. The music part was not as good, because we were not familiar with the songs. With that being said it is still well worth getting because the book on CD is great.

Return to Joy

With Return to Joy, Bev DeSalvo uses her personal experiences, Bible verses and several discussion questions to illustrate how readers can heal their pain through Christ. Her life story was very interesting. There is something most everyone should be able to relate too. This ten week course provides in depth analysis of Scripture that will help readers begin then complete the necessary steps to heal their pain by deepening their Spiritual relationship with Christ. The various chapters break down each of the stages of healing and at the end of each chapter, relevant Scripture, various discussion questions and prayer suggestions help readers move onto the next phase of healing. I found the book an easy read and hard to put down.

The Spirit Contemporary Life: Unleashing the Miraculous in Your Everyday World

I was a little skeptical about the book because I dislike the name it and claim books. I thought this may be one of those kinds. Much to my surprise the book was very in line with the Bible. Depending on the Holy Spirit is what we need most in today's world. The book will help you focus your priorities and be more dependent on the Lord. I would recommend this book. The Rising

On July 23, 2007, Dr. Petit’s house was broken into, his wife and two daughters were raped and murdered, Dr. Petit was beaten and left for dead and his house was then set on fire and burned to the ground. In The Rising, Ryan D’Agostino shares in graphic detail the events of this horrible night. How Dr. Petit desperately wanted to protect and defend his family but was physically unable to.

The book takes the reader through every grueling detail of the trial. How the Petit family and friends had to sit through pictures and testimonies of that horrific night. Thankfully the book doesn’t end there. After the terrible events of that night and the years and trials that followed, Dr. Petit discovers a new passion and reason for living.
The book ends with a good ending. It kind of reminded me of Job and what happened to him. The book was a little hard to read at times because of the subject matter, but was also hard to put down because you wanted to know more.

This book was a good read and I would recommend buying it.

Life Giving Home

I was happy to be able to start reading the Life Giving Home by Sally & Sarah Clarkson. I felt the book was long, but I was able to get some really good ideas to do with my family. I loved how to create beauty in your home and finding beauty through impromptu adventures. I am a creative type so this book was wonderful. I loved the ideas. My goal is to create a family loves Jesus and try to get back to the basics. I was challenged by reading this book.
I would recommend this book if you are looking for ways to connect as a family. especially trying to break free from the electronic rat race.
