Four Cups by Chris Hodges is an easy read, but has a great message. Hodges teaches how to break free from slavery or oppression. As Christians we are called to live in freedom, not bondage. I found the techniques in the book to be basic spiritual warfare techniques. My favorite chapter was on deliverance. The chapter deals with addictions and so much more.
I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to grow deeper in their faith. It is a great book! I enjoyed learning more about shutting doors to sin.

A Godward Heart by John Piper is a short book with short stories. The book reminds me of Chicken Soup for the Soul. It is not a devotional book because there is not scriptures, but the book is uplifting. I found this book handy to have in the car and a great read waiting for things while in the car.
I liked a lot of the topics, but some hit home more than others. My favorite topics were about raising children. The author seemed knowledgeable and his tone was easy to read.
