One Month to Love

I am not an expert on love and sometimes feel like I am not sure what to do in different situations. One Month to Love by Kerry and Chris Shook address how to make your core relationships better. They explain that it doesn't matter what point you are in your relationship there is room for growth. Each day there is a lesson such as the art of being all there, intentionally giving encouragement, acting intentionally and a wide range of other topics. The book gives personal examples that invoke thought and have daily challenges to push the reader out of their comfort zone. Some of the challenges really made me think on how I could improve and exposed areas where I need a lot of work.

One Month to Love is an easy read that is broken into 30 chapters to take your close relationships to the next level. The book made it easy to find ways to improve. I don't think anyone of us can say we are perfect, so this book is for everyone high school and up. I have to admit some of the challenges were harder than others, so be prepared to be honest with yourself.

Heaven's Lessons

Have you ever read a story about a near death experience? Books based on an authors perspective based on a near death experience is always moving for me. Heaven's Lessons by Steve Sjogren is no different. Steve was a pastor of a mega church when he had a surgery that didn't go as plan and that is when his life changed. He was able to view his body while on the operating table and when he awoke he had constant pain and a disability that has changed his life. I love how the author was able to see how the Lord used this journey to grow his faith.

The book covers how to overcome fear, how to be thankful in all circumstances, living life to be generous and loving odd people. I lied the practical advice on such a wide range of topics. This book has such a wide audience base because of the stories and topics that are told. I was given this book by Booksneeze in exchange for an honest review.
