I had never heard the story of Oliver Twist, until I listened to the 5 disk CD from Focus on the Family. This was a wonderful story that covers the life from birth of an orphan to adolescence. His mother died during birth and he was raised by an assortment of interesting people. At times I was on the edge of my seat just hoping for a happy ending because it was hard to even think of being put through such agony. The story was very entertaining listening to it on CD and I would listen to it again. The characters voices and sounds were realistic to what you would expect. Some of the material was a little deep and that is why I would agree with the age rating for 12 and up. The Oliver Twist CD set was enjoyable to listen to and would be a great family activity.
I was given this book by Tyndale House in exchange for an honest review.
